LaFayette Engineering, Inc. (LEI) is an electrical controls company based in Danville, Kentucky. We have been in business since 1989 and our projects cover the Ohio Valley, Indiana, California, Washington, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Texas, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, and others.

Our primary business is the design and installation of controls for conveyor systems, including high-speed case sortation. The expertise of staff at LaFayette Engineering includes design, PLC programming, Visual Basic and C++ programming, AutoCAD drafting, panel fabrication, and electrical installation.

The control systems from LaFayette Engineering range from simple accumulation lines to high speed sortation systems interfacing with our ConveyorWorks software. Typically included in our control systems are:

• Control Panel with motor starters
• Processor with associated Input, Outputs and communication modules
• Field devices, including photocells, motor disconnects, control stations
• Complete set of electrical schematic drawings

In addition to controls, LaFayette Engineering also provides custom design programs including, HMI diagnostics systems, providing the ability to monitor key areas of the conveyor systems. The complexity of the HMI varies by facility.
